WITHERS Bungee Lead | Two Handles, Less Jolt
One lead. Two handles. A lot less jolt.
Made for the walks you already take.
A bungee section absorbs the surge before it reaches your arm, and a second handle just above the clip gives you close control when you need it.
- Bungee section absorbs the surge
- Two handles, one for close control
- Matches the harness, all five colours
Why choose WITHERS?
A bungee section, a padded handle, a traffic handle above the clip, and a D-ring for a bag or your keys. Reflective stitching to match the harness.
Product details
Most leads are a length of webbing with a clip on the end. The moment your dog spots a squirrel, all of that force arrives at your shoulder at once, through a strap with nowhere to put it.
A bungee section sits in the middle of this one. When your dog surges, the elastic stretches first, so the pull arrives over a fraction of a second rather than instantly. It does not stop the pull. It takes the snap out of it, which is the difference between being tugged and being yanked.
There are two handles. The padded one at your end, for the length of the walk. A second sitting just above the clip, so at a kerb or passing another dog you can shorten the whole thing with one hand and bring your dog in close, then let it out again.
A D-ring on the main handle takes a bag or your keys, so you are not carrying them.

WHY A BUNGEE
The jolt, spread
over a moment.
Which length should I choose?
Short is 1.2 m and stretches to about 1.5 m. Regular is 1.5 m and stretches to about 2 m. If most of your walking is on pavements or in town, take the Short. If it is parks and open paths, take the Regular.
Will the bungee stop my dog pulling?
No, and be wary of any lead that says it will. The bungee changes how the pull reaches you, not how hard your dog pulls. You still feel it, it just does not jolt. Reducing the pulling itself is what the front ring on the harness is for.
Will it clip to my WITHERS harness?
Yes, to either ring. The front chest ring for walks where you want more say in the direction, the back ring for relaxed ones.
Can I use it with a collar?
It will clip to a collar, but we would not recommend it for a dog that pulls. Everything the bungee absorbs then lands on your dog's neck instead of being spread across a padded chest panel.
What colours does it come in?
Black, Silver Grey, Red, Pink and Blue. The same five as the harness, so the set matches.
