WITHERS HELP

How can we help?

Straight answers about your order, delivery, fit and everyday harness use.

Orders & payments

Can I change or cancel my order?

Contact us at support@withers.dog as soon as possible with your order number. We will try to help before the order enters processing, but changes and cancellations cannot be guaranteed after that point.

Can I change my shipping address?

Email us immediately with your order number and the correct address. Once an order has been prepared for dispatch, we may no longer be able to change the delivery details.

Which payment methods can I use?

Available payment methods are shown at checkout. Shopify may offer card payments and accelerated checkout options depending on your device and eligibility.

Shipping & tracking

How much does delivery cost?

UK delivery is £2.95 for orders below £30. Orders of £30 or more receive free tracked delivery.

How long does delivery take?

Our current UK delivery estimate is 5–9 business days. You will receive a dispatch email when your order leaves us.

How can I track my order?

When tracking is available, the link is included in your dispatch confirmation email. Please check your junk folder if you cannot find it.

Why has my tracking not updated?

Courier scans can take a little time to appear after collection. If the tracking has not changed after several business days, email us with your order number and we will investigate.

Returns & exchanges

What is your returns policy?

You can request a return within 30 days of delivery. Please email us before sending anything back so we can confirm the return instructions and address.

Items should be in resaleable condition. You may inspect the harness as you would in a shop, but use beyond that may affect the refund.

Can I exchange the harness for another size?

Yes. If the size is wrong, contact us with your order number and the size you need. We offer a free size exchange, so sizing should not be the reason your harness goes unused.

What if my item is faulty or damaged?

Email support@withers.dog with your order number and clear photographs of the issue. We will assess the problem and arrange the appropriate remedy.

When will my refund be paid?

Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method after the return has been received or you have provided evidence that it has been sent, subject to the applicable returns terms.

Sizing & care

How do I choose the right harness size?

Measure your dog's chest around the widest part of the ribcage, directly behind the front legs, and measure the base of the neck. Use the Withers size guide and choose by measurements rather than breed or weight.

What if my dog is between sizes?

Use the chest measurement first. Choose the smaller size for a narrow build and the larger size for a broader build. Leave room for adjustment and check the two-finger fit once the harness is on.

How should the harness fit?

The harness should be secure without restricting movement. You should be able to slide two fingers under the straps. Check that the chest panel sits centrally, the straps do not rub, and your dog can walk, sit and turn comfortably.

How do I wash the harness?

Hand wash or use a cold, gentle cycle. Allow the harness to air dry fully before use. Do not bleach, tumble dry, or expose it to high heat. Inspect the webbing, stitching and hardware after washing.

Product guides

Will the harness stop my dog pulling?

A harness can improve comfort and give you useful attachment options, but no harness replaces training. A secure fit, calm handling and consistent reward-based training work together to make walks more manageable.

What is the front D-ring for?

The front D-ring gives you an additional lead attachment point near the chest. It can help with guidance during training, especially for dogs who tend to pull. Use the attachment that suits your dog's behaviour and your walking setup.

What is the back D-ring for?

The back D-ring is the straightforward everyday lead attachment. It is a good choice for relaxed walks and for dogs who already walk comfortably on a loose lead.

How do I adjust the harness?

Loosen the straps before putting the harness on. Centre the chest panel, adjust the neck and chest straps evenly, then perform the two-finger check. Walk for a few minutes and recheck that nothing has shifted or started to rub.

Can my puppy wear the harness?

Yes, provided the puppy fits within the selected size range and the harness is checked regularly as they grow. Puppies can change size quickly, so remeasure rather than relying on the original size.

STILL UNSURE?

Send us the measurements.

Include your dog's chest and neck measurements, their approximate build, and your order number if you have already purchased.
